The weekend thus far

has been a busy one. Friday night was Carly's Little House on the Prairie Book Club. She went with Katie this month and then spent the night there. This month, the girls had to take a gift that they had at least partly made.

Carly bought a box and then we covered it with decorative paper she had chosen to make a great little trinket box. She came home with a soft, pink scarf someone had made. The boys and I went to a slumber party at the home of one of our best friends. They are moving the week after Christmas and we will miss them more than I can possibly put into words. Vicki has 7 sons and when I throw my 3 youngest sons into the mix, the testosterone sometimes reaches epic proportions, but these boys have been friends for years and southern Indiana just isn't going to be the same without them.

We first met years ago - right after Carly and Ryan came to live with us - when we were all at the rehab center for different therapies. I've mentioned her son, Seth, in several posts in the pasts asking for prayers for him for different surgeries and things.

Anyway, Sophie went to the slumber party with me to hang out with their only daughter, who is just a few weeks younger than Sophie. Everyone had a great time. We watched a movie right before bed called Rocketman. It was a hilarious family film.

The boys were having so much fun, in fact, that they bugged out on my evening planned events for them and are spending another night.

Billski and I are going to take Carly, Katie, Sophie and Keegan to Christmas Lake Village to see the lights tonight. Just going on how much they enjoyed the little bit of lights they saw on Keegan's birthday, this evening should be a LOT of fun for them.

Andi and I took Sophie to see the Princess and the Frog movie today. Sophie said she liked it - I didn't care for it. The music was good, but it was full of voodoo and shadowy spirits. Not my idea of a great kid movie.

And this handsome fellow with the natural looking smile. Things are going good and this is actually getting to be his "normal" look. God is good and we are blessed.
