Christmas

What a fun day of celebrating with my crazy family!  So blessed they could all be here.

Benjamin has grown so much this year. He towers over everyone else. Caden read the Christmas story to us and Mary and Joseph would have been proud of how he narrated their journey.  Amanda came with Ben and she is always a welcome addition. Christmas is always better when Tara comes “home” from Austria for her school vacation.  Wesley rode his motorcycle from Cape Girardeau to be here and he gifted me with my first ever 2,000 piece puzzle. Yikes! Mallory was here for her first time and she jumped right into the madness.

It was a wonderful day filled with fun, family and food.  And laughter. So much laughter.

The Goodbye for Tara

It was her first meal in America, so it seemed fitting it would be our last one together. So we ate lunch, then I said goodbye to part of my heart.
Tara heads home tomorrow. We had no idea when she arrived, how much we would love her. I’m not sure our family will ever feel totally complete again. As sad as we are, I can just imagine the happiness her family feels as they await her arrival.

Hockey Game

Paige sang the National Anthem at the Thunderbolts game, so we went to support her.  Later, she was chosen from the crowd to sing a song and she won tickets to the playoff game.

Leader of the Pack

The school play opening. Isn’t was this evening.  Both Tara and Sophie were in the play as dancers and singers. They each had a small speaking part.  Tara also performed a solo acrobatic rhythm ribbon dance and she did it flawlessly.  It was a wonderful evening.
