Vacation with Charlene

A whirlwind week including a visit with Patricia in Frankenmuth, Michigan, a day at Mackinaw Island, a 10 hour train ride in Sault St. Marie, Canada, Jonah at the Sight and Sound Theater in Lancaster, and finishing up with dinner at The Chicken House with my favorite college kid. 

Murder Mystery Train Trip

Charlene gifted me with a Mystery Dinner Train Ride with an ugly sweater theme.  We made the 3 hour drive to Noblesville and had a great time.

The People’s Choice Award as voted on by a train full of strangers for the Ugliest Sweater Award goes to yours truly, Patty Puff, the bakery owner.

My lovely laminated certificate says I have demonstrated extraordinary holiday spirit and questionable fashion taste. I couldn’t agree more. 

Cruise to Bermuda

Charlene and I celebrated her 65th birthday by going to Bermuda.  It was a lovely but very expensive 

 

Thanksgiving in PA

Charlene and I went to Pennsylvania for Thanksgiving. We went to the Sight and sound theater and saw Daniel. We took a bus trip around Gettysburg and explored Hershey’s Chocolate World.  

We also visited a glass store in Wheeling, WV, and loved the beautiful glassware! 

Of course we had our traditional bologna sandwich for Thanksgiving dinner.

Cruise to Canada

I took a cruise with some fun friends that covered some beautiful ports along the coast and up to Canada. We left from NYC and made stops in Newport, Rhode Island, Bar Harbor, Portland, Maine, along with St. John’s Bay and Halifax in Canada.
