The one thing that is constant is change.

Portia has moved to a new apartment -- and Zac and Ben did not.

Pre Wedding Ceremony Injury

Six days till the wedding and Shaun gets knocked out cold by a stray softball that took a bad bounce.  And has a bad concussion.  And a badly broken nose - with stitches on his nose.  He will no doubt look fabulous!  Andi is also currently sporting a cast on her hand where she broke her thumb in 2 places riding a mechanical bull a few weeks ago.  These two are quite a pair.

Shaun will be going to see an ENT on Friday to see if he will have to have surgery on his nose.

And introducing Portia

Zac has had one girlfriend in his lifetime, Amanda, They started dating  while she was still in high school and since then, he has only had eyes for her.  Until now.  He and Amanda broke up shortly after Benjamin's birth and since then he has not dated anyone.  Until now. In his 29 years of living, he only brought one girl home to meet his momma and the rest of his crazy family.  Until now.

Now he has brought two.  Yesterday, we all met Portia. He and Portia seem blissfully happy and he is going to meet her family next weekend.  Portia is a delightful young lady, 28, never married, no children and she has a masters in Social Work.  I didn't miss the irony in that, given everything that is currently going on with Ryan.

Although she was nervous when she first arrived, it didn't take her long to settle in and soon she was snorting when she laughed like the rest of us. We all had a great afternoon, eating and playing games.  It was a bit different for her - she has one brother, who lives far away from home, so when she goes home to see her parents, it's just the three of them.  Or 5 next weekend, with Zac and Ben going. I hope Portia's family likes Zac as much as we liked her and are happy for her happiness, as we are all for Zac.
