I'm having serious doubts

about this whole walking the half marathon thing. Not because of the distance. I think I could do that without a problem whatsoever. It's my ankle tendon, which I pulled about over a month ago. Since then, it has hurt whenever I walk any distance. I have rested it for a week at a time, iced it often, but as soon as I start walking again, it hurts. I have to set that goal aside till next year and in the meantime, continue taking 3 - 5 mile walks.

On the plus side (a little weight loss humor), the scale finally dropped this morning. I was feeling like I was on the longest plateau in history. So although I'm putting aside the marathon for this year, by the time it rolls around next year, I'll be in much better shape to do it.
