Sneaky Sneakerton and other stuff
There's been a date marked on our calendar for the past month that simply said, "Kids Surprise". That date was tomorrow. Andi and Big Guy have been planning something special for the little kids as a way of thanking them for helping out with Sophie and Keegan so much.
Everyone had done a great job of keeping the secret and THEN - this morning as Jacob and I were walking, he looks at me and says, "I know what the first part of the surprise is." And I replied, "Oh yeah, what is it?"
Then he told me it was that Andi and Big Guy were taking them camping. I asked what made him think that. Then he said..... "The other day on the way to Steve's I was sitting in the front seat and heard Andi on the phone and she told somebody she couldn't do that on Monday because she was going camping."
And I said something about her letting the cat out of the bag and then he gave me a little thumbs up pointy fingerflippy thing and said, "No, you did. I just made that up." Then he starts jogging ahead, shouting, "We're going camping. We're going camping." It was with great restraint that I did not push him into the lake.
After they go camping, they will be spending the day Holiday World at the water park. I'm sure they will all have a great time.
Other than that, things have been rather quiet around here. Andi took all the kids out to her dads for a day of swimming yesterday and I enjoyed the afternoon with some friends.
Ryan went to a birthday party this afternoon and Bill has taken the other kids out on the boat to go tubing. Carly and Jacob will love it - Wesley, probably not so much.
Sophie and Keegan will be spending the next two days with me and Baba (the name Sophie chose for Billski). I will probably be ready for a long nap come Monday night with no little helpers to help with the babies.
My Bible study is coming along great. The ladies who are taking it to heart are really reaping the rewards. I gave a short testimony about God taking my caffeine addiction away last Sunday at church and mentioned we were going to start the same study through the church. The class was almost full by Wednesday night. It seems there is a great need for people to get their lives balanced.
I'm walking every day and most of the time Jacob gets up and walks with me. Amazing, since I usually walk at 6 in the morning. He is losing weight and getting more healthy by the day. I'm really proud of him. He wants to walk in the half marathon with me and the way he's going, I have no doubt that he will.
I guess that about sums things up around here. Camera still in the repair shop. I had no idea how many pictures I made until I realized how many times a day I reach for it -- only it's not there.
