Catching up
Things have been rather quiet - practically boring - around here lately. Carly and Wesley have been gone to my mom's since last Tuesday and just got home Saturday afternoon.
Blogger didn't work for 2 days, so I couldn't have posted even if I wanted to, so it's a good thing I had nothing exciting to share.
I worked this weekend -- and although in my previous post this seems to contradict Jacob saying I don't work, it kinda doesn't, because the kids can go with me. So they don't see it as work. They see it as pool table, swings, foosball, games, etc. I might be getting paid, but they are having fun while I do it. Plus, it's not every day, all day long, like most of them associate with "working."
This weekend is the race that Billski is taking Carly, Wesley and Ryan to. Jacob is making lots of plans for things for he and I to do in their absence. Based on the list, Billski better drive slow, check out of the motel late, make 15 pit stops on the way home and have a couple of flat tires.
Sophie and Keegan are going to be here a few days this week while Andi starts getting ready for schools to start. She has a conference in Indianapolis to attend.
Big Guy only has 3 more weeks of training at the Police Academy to go. This week he could really use some prayer. His grades have been excellent - his lowest test score has been a 96 and he will be graduating with honors. BUT, this week is when he does some kind of fighting, like he would be subduing a wild suspect. Several of the trainees have been sent home during this part of their training due to injuries. Please pray that he makes it through this week safely so he can finish and come home to his family.
Now, I think we're all caught up.
