And a great day it was
Today the kids and I went to meet all the new members of the homeschool co-op I joined. My poor, homeschooled, unsocialized children (insert maniacal laughter here) will be getting out of the house at least twice a month from now till May and joining about 30 other families doing all sorts of fun things and field trips. We had a great time at the playground by the river, where the breeze was awesome and the temperature felt more like 70 than 85. It was awesome and made me wish for fall.
I signed up to organize the Valentine's Day party, since that particular day is near and dear to my heart.
The kids all have friends over to spend the night, so it should be a wild evening -- however, nothing can top what happened this afternoon.
Wes-Man and I have been talking about it for several weeks and today was the day. When it was all said and done, he felt 10 feet tall and was so proud of himself. Come to think of it, I was so proud of him, too. Now he wants to go back to Chattanooga so he can ride the ones there that he was too afraid to even get close to last fall.
