One Constant in our home is

there is ALWAYS a remote control lost. Today was no exception. As Jacob was trying to convince Sophie to help look for it, she very politely replied, "No thank you. I don't want to look for it right now."

Jacob persisted....offering what was once the ultimate bribe, "If you help, I'll give you a piece of gum."

Sophie -- again, practicing good manners replied, "No thank you. I don't care for gum right now. But I would like a turtle."

At that point, the search stopped as we could do nothing but look at her and laugh.
