The Creation Museum
I'm very blessed to be able to spend so much time with my kids. We get to do many fun things together and this past week was no exception.
My mom and I took the kids to The Creation Museum last week. It was very interesting, but I think kids really have to be able to read to get the most out of it. Even as it was, Jacob came out of it a bit disappointed. I suppose I hadn't explained what exactly we were going to see, because to him, "Creation" meant creating. He was looking forward to a huge science and children's museum, so he was in for a big surprise.
We spent the night before at Cincinnati and the kids had fun playing in the pool. There was competitions galore -- the longest underwater breath hold, longest hand stand underwater, etc. Carly won the longest splash and Jacob filed a grievance that the competition shouldn't be for splash distance, but rather height. As he explained his case, he ended with "After all, this body isn't built for distance."
