Home from Florida

Bill is back home and the gaping hole in the medicine cabinet is once again filled with shaving cream, men's deodorant and such things. He didn't bring home any fish, but several pictures of alligators, including a video of one swimming a tidge too close for comfort by his boat.

His boat motor gave him some trouble, so it is now in the repair shop and Billski is making comments such as, "If it costs over four thousand dollars to fix the motor, I think we should just buy a new boat. What do you think?" What do I think? I said buy some oars, but in reality, I bet I can safely forecast a new boat will soon be in our driveway.

Why ask me anyway about a boat motor price? Obviously, since I paid the water department almost 8 thousand dollars this month, finances are not my strong point! Billski still does not see the humor in that and although I offered to frame the check for him as a gift, it remains on my desk, a good reminder of how handy a decimal point can be when paying bills online.

In other news, the Spaulding family was unable to travel home due to yet another snow storm. Seth's cardiologist appointment in Virginia was Tuesday and they were not going to be able to make that. His cardiologist in Evansville is sending his test results to Riley's Hospital in Indianapolis this morning to see if Seth can be seen there in the next few days. The other kids are spread out among different friends. Luke and Aiden are staying with us and at this point we don't know if that will be for a few days or a few weeks. Either way, the ol' Comfy Couch Academy has a couple of extra students this morning.
