Here's where a decimal point would have been handy

Our water bill for the month was $76.86. I paid the bill on-line and it went to the water department for Seven Thousand Six Hundred Eighty Six Dollars. The bank ran it through our checking account, but the nice people at the water department called today to ask if maybe this was a mistake. Ya think? They're the ones with the bill sitting in front of them. Did they think I meant to do that?

Anyway, I guess I will straighten this mess out tomorrow and be glad they aren't just keeping our money to pay our water bill in advance for the next 8 years.
