Santa Stop
Andi and I took the kids to Studio Bee this morning for Santa Stop, a program where lots of area churches come together and each have a table for kids to do crafts and stuff. Everyone had a good time. Amy and I wheeled out a big birthday cake for Jesus with sparkle candles and everyone gathered to sing Happy Birthday.
While we were preparing to bring it out from the kitchen a little girl wandered up and when she asked who it was for, we told her, "Jesus." Then she asked, "Why isn't he here?"
Further explanation after our, "He is here, he's in our heart." will be done by her mom.

These pictures of Sophie and Keegan remind me of the winter Andi was 3 and Zac, 2. I waited till Christmas Eve and still hadn't taken them to see Santa. So I dressed them in their little Christmas sweaters, drove through a big snowstorm to get them to Santa and got the worst pictures ever for my effort. Andi was staring at Zac, so all you saw was the side of her head. Zac was trying to do the "raise my hands and slide out of Santa's arms" so his picture is of him screaming, bawling, snot running, cute sweater bunched up to his chin. Aww, sweet memories. I think that was probably the last time I ever did the Santa picture.
