The Search may be over

We may have spent our last Sunday ranking churches after going to yet another new church each week. We have found a church that everyone agreed seems to fit our family. It is a very kid oriented church, focusing on family worship, with contemporary music, and community involvement.

It's small so that we can really get to know the people --- who are super friendly. There is no formal greeting program where people are assigned to be friendly to visitors .....they just were.... starting when we got out of the car and somebody yelled good morning to us, followed by "Glad to have you here." There are lots of things for the kids to be involved in, including a Bible quiz club.

Although we loved our old church for a lot of years, we both knew it was time to leave about a year ago and we just didn't because, frankly, we were too lazy to look for a new church. Being comfortable makes you overlook a lot of things. As I once read, "Enlightenment must come little by little---otherwise it will overwhelm."

Anyway, today was the first place that Bill and I both came away excited about the possibility that we may have found a new church home.
