Call me Flick
Did you ever see the movie "A Christmas Story"? If not, you should. And if you did, then you will recall the memorable scene where Flick gets his tongue stuck to the icy flag pole and the fire department is called. As his arms are flailing wildly, you can hear him wail, "Stuck, stuck, stuck, stuck, stuck! Somebody help me." And he starts to cry.
Flick and I have a lot in common. I am also stuck. My arms are flailing - at least metaphorically. I tried really flailing them and I've got to say, that makes typing a bit hard. Not to mention, carpet cleaning, which I did on Monday can really make an arm sore. I'm betting people that clean carpets for a living have arm muscles like the Govenator, Arnold, used to show off when he wore his swimsuit on stage.
I digress. Back to Flick and me. And being stuck. The weight loss measuring rope ticker above has not moved much recently. Stuck would be a nice way of saying sinking fast in the quick sand of fat that I'm still carrying around. Nothing I am trying seems to work. I need some ideas, people!
Throw this girl a life line and give me something new to try. Help me move that ticker before I start to cry and have Miss Shields call the fire department.
