In their defense & other stuff
As for the PT knowing what was wrong with my shoulder and fixing it himself -- even WITH the limited mobility, I was still doing well within range of what I should be doing and every time I told him that it hurt, he would reply, "It's supposed to hurt." I guess I should have been more assertive in how much it hurt. Then again, I had nothing to compare it to. Plus, even I could see I was miles ahead in progress of everyone I saw there who had undergone the same surgery at about the same time as I did.
Anyway, I continue to mend. I can do just about anything but lift my arm up behind my back. Or lift more than 3 pounds straight up over my head. Both are not things I do too often, so I'm pretty much good to go.
Spring break took a turn for the damper last night as it poured rain all night and is supposed to rain the rest of the week. Good thing we have 20 pounds of Legos to keep them all occupied.
I went to sewing class last night and got to practice ripping out the stitches I had just put in. 'Nuf said about that. I was able to forget about the disappointment since afterwards I got to sit in a restaurant booth with Sherie, Susan and Andi for a couple of hours as we just caught up and relaxed. Ripping 3,627 stitches out is a small price to pay for the after party.
I've been working on a cabinet/hutch for my living room this week and I like it better than anything I've made so far. I hope to have it in my house by the weekend.
And with that thought in mind, I'm off my computer and out to the garage. That thing isn't going to sand and paint itself.
