May the force be with me

Our family has joined Netflix because the one movie store in town keeps jacking up the price of their movies. They also keep things in the NEW section FOREVER. Case in point....Currently in the NEW section is the movie Toy Story. Not even Toy Story 2, but Toy Story.

So we joined Netflix and I have been very impressed with their choice of movies that are family friendly -- as well as movies that are based on classic books. Home school moms love some classic book movies.

Jacob, however, let his opinion be known today when he saw the movie that arrived today. "The Simple Life of Noah Dearborn" brought about the question, "Doesn't Netflix have any Kung Fu movies or movies with light sabres?"

Speaking of which, it seems I am quite lax in watching Star Wars movies. I've seen part of the first one and that simply won't do in our house. With that in mind, we have scheduled a Star Wars movie marathon to be held one day the week after Christmas. 14 HOURS of Star Wars movies, complete with everyone's favorite snacks. That would be 6 Star Wars movies..........IN ONE DAY.

There will be no other TV allowed, wearing PJs all day is encouraged, everyone will bring their favorite pillow and blanket and I imagine there will be some memories made.

Can't you just imagine it if your mom did this? I don't think you'd ever forget it. And if I sit/lay/slump through 14 hours of Star Wars, my kids better not either.
