Not my usual blog post but

I wanted to let everyone who lives around here know that I have had the best experience ever in buying this vehicle. I bought it at Law Chevrolet - formerly Heartland - in Boonville. I got an outlandishly good deal, not to mention a 50.00 gift certificate to Heavenly Ham (just for test driving a car). But the part I liked best was my salesman.

As we were driving down Yankeetown Road the other day, I got the standard, "Let me ask you a question, Perri." I was expecting the usual car salesman mumbo jumbo of "What's it going to take to get you into a car?" or "What's your price range?" or any of the dozen of other car salesman questions that I loathe. Imagine my surprise when he asked me, "Have you prayed about this decision?"

Huh? Yep. You read that right. When I told Andi about him and how nice he was, easy to deal with, etc. she had the nerve to mock me. She took me out to pick up my car that evening and met him. After talking with him for about 30 minutes, she apologized and agreed with me.

We told Big Guy and he just laughed at how gullible we were, etc. Till he met him. Then he came back to tell me I was right. I think they will be buying a vehicle from him in the next few weeks. They even gave Andi a car to test drive the other day -- to Indianapolis.

I got a great deal on my car and they told me when I called ahead of time that I would. When I asked the guy why the new owner was making such good deals, he told me because the guy was new in the area, just moved here from Texas and didn't have a reputation here. And the reputation he wanted was the one where people knew he gave the best deals around.

So, all that to say this. If you are looking for a vehicle, you might want to check out Law Chevrolet. The salesman that you will want - trust me on this - is Kerry York.

When I dropped my van off this morning to get the inside detailed, Kerry asked me where I wanted him to send the tithe off of the sale he made to me. Seems he tithes off each sale to the organization of the buyer's choice - in the buyer's name, if they want.

Not only that, but we were talking about Studio Bee the other day and I told him the kids and I were going to be helping with the Thanksgiving meal. He asked if they still needed help. I gave him the name of who to call, thinking that would be the end of it, but nope. This morning, he told me who he talked to and what he would be doing Thanksgiving morning. So if you are out and about on Thursday morning and you see a guy out in the Law Chevrolet van delivering meals, stop him and say hi - that will be Kerry.

And when you go buy a car from him - tell him I sent you. Because this guy is a guy who gives used car salesmen a good name.
