A look ahead
This is going to be a busy week. Bill left sometime early this morning for Detroit. I remember him telling me goodbye about 4:30 or so -- or else I dreamed that. Either way, he's gone till Friday to learn about robotics.
Big Guy left yesterday for week 3 away from home. I think Andi doing pretty well with this. She told me she was much more self sufficient than she realized. Please continue to pray for them while they are apart.
Andi is leaving tomorrow and will be gone until Thursday. She is taking a group of the kids she works with to a conference. I'm thinking it's an informal conference as they will be camping. In tents. In the heat and humidity. Gross. Gross. Gross. Keegan and Sophie would be totally miserable with her, so,
Keegan and Sophie will be staying with me while she is gone. It will be the first (and second) night Keegan has been away from Andi. She is worried about it. I think it will be fine. In the past few weeks, he's really started taking a bottle easily, so I'm going with the "everything will be fine" mantra. Expect many pictures this week of Sos and Big Boy.
Obviously I will be in need of adult conversation this week. If you're in the neighborhood, stop by. Use the front door as the back walkway is covered in bricks at the moment.
The kids did 2 days of school yesterday - they "love" doing school on Sunday :) NOT. Anyway, we have 2 days worth out of the way, so we are way ahead of the week in that department.
I have a couple of teenagers coming to clean up the chimney mess, so hopefully that will be done soon and we can get to the business of fixing the hole in the side of the house. Although it's very attractive in its current state, I think the curb appeal could be better. Andi is also going to work today cleaning up brick. Such a good daughter.
Bill was going to let the 4 little kids clean up brick, but as hard as I tried, I just couldn't see that happening without an ER visit somewhere in the cleanup process. I'm really not in the mood for stitches from a dropped brick or crutches from twisted ankles, so I vetoed that idea and hired older help.
I have a chiropractor appointment today and tomorrow Wes goes to the doctor for his anxiety. He has to miss going bowling with the campers, but he is OK with that. He's very excited about the possibility of not being afraid of everything.
I have to go to court on Wednesday for a CASA case and at that time the family will no longer like me even a tiny bit because they are not going to like my recommendations.
I think that about catches up everything around here. Please continue to pray for Hossanna. Patricia would appreciate your prayers too. It's baby making time for her!
