CASA Training

Today I learned to make meth. I went to a training class so that when I go into people's homes to do CASA work, I can look for signs of use or manufacturing of meth. The class was very informative and I really learned a lot.

To see the ways things are done, to see how people hide their drugs or make drug pipes out of so many common everyday things was a big eye opener. We saw how kids are making drug pipes out of highlighter marker tubes.

It was a very interesting class but it was frightening at the same time. As I held this teeny, tiny bag of drugs in my hand and knew that it could be sold for $3,000, I could more easily understand how someone could be sucked into the thoughts of big money.

Mainly, to see how so many lives are ruined by this drug was incredibly sad.
