Saturday aka Day 1

15 hours of travel time passed before Bill and the kids were safe in the motel. It was a pretty uneventful trip with the exception of Carly puking several times. She's a great puker though - lots of training - and never made a mess.

As for the boys and I -- we started our day off with Wesley's basketball game, where he scored a basket and was quite impressed with himself. After they got showered, we headed out for our adventure, in which I could begin to mark things off of their list of things to do.

Stop one was a ride on the merry go round at the mall. That's about as wild as those two want to get. After riding, we went to lunch at T. G. I. Fridays, where they loved looking at all the stuff hung on the wall. Then we went by the store where I buy school books and picked up some books I had ordered. Strangely enough, they love to go there, too.

Our next stop was the Dollar Tree, where the boys bought cheap plastic crap toys that may or may not make it a week. I'm betting on not. Next, we went to see the Bee movie. They really liked it - as for me, seeing it once was more than enough.

Afterwards, we met up with Sophie and she joined us for the next part of our trip - going to the airport to watch the planes land and take off. She was eyeing those planes with wonder and making the sign for plane, but she has added her own sound....."oooooooooooohhhhhhhhh."

After checking out the planes till dark, we went and ate dinner at The Black Buggy, an Amish smorgasbord. They ALL liked that part of the day and hopefully Sophie's shirt will come clean, but I'm not holding my breath on that one. Mental note -- put a bib in the truck!

This evening we were glad to just be home - them so they could play with the aforementioned cheap plastic crap and me, just so I could be home. Sophie is spending the night with us and she is walking around chanting, "night night", so I'm going to go get her to sleep. Hopefully, I can stay awake long enough to do that.
