The going ons
Carly can't seem to walk around the house since seeing Hannah Montana in concert. Everything now has to be done using jazzy dance steps. She also sings constantly and I know she is picturing herself in her own concert someday.
Last week she was practicing singing the Star Bangled Banner everyday and I couldn't figure that one out.......till Saturday morning. At the kid's basketball game, they had a kid volunteer to sing it. I fear that even if I tell her not to do it, Carly may volunteer herself for this Saturday. If she does, I apologize now. Carly has inherited my singing ability and that is not a good thing.
All of the kids have now scored for their basketball teams, so it's been a great season for them. Jacob and Carly only have one more game due to vacation, but Wesley has 3 more before he's done.
Wesley got his first blackhead on his nose. Exciting news, I know. But because of the removal of said blackhead, he has decreed that he no longer wants to be a teenager and is not going to go there.
Ryan and Wes are making their list (and adding to it daily) things they want to do while the others are on vacation. From the looks of it, they have plans to run me ragged.
I have spent the last three days working on moving the church library to a new room so that the present library can be made into an office for the pastor. The kids tagged along and did their school work there. Heidi helped me one day and between us all working, it's a done deal.
Wesley has woken me up for some strange things over the years, but none so strange as last night when he woke me. He was crying and his big complaint was, "My hands stink. I need to wash them." A last minute hand washing will now be added to his bedtime routine.
I had two of my CASA cases in court yesterday. I'm really enjoying doing this work. There's a big need for more volunteers. Andi went to court yesterday and got her first case after that. She was assigned a doozy.
Jacob and Carly are counting down the days till they see the Magic Kingdom. And I'm sure Bill is too, he just hides it well.
Big Guy has made his first arrest and is loving his new job. He is full of tales after each shift. For a small town, it sure can be interesting.
My spell check is not working on Blogger these days. I hope it kicks back in soon.
We have all been enjoying Duke Basketball this year. It was so cool last night to watch them beat their biggest rival, North Carolina....(sorry Melene).
Andi got her new skates and her gear for Roller Derby. The name that she wanted was already taken, so if anyone has any ideas, feel free to throw them into the ring, so to speak.
OK - with that pun, I'm done.
Please keep praying for Patricia and Chris. She goes back to the doctor tomorrow to determine what needs to be done next.
