Free Money -- always a good thing

Lindsey sent me an email a few days ago and I just got around to checking out the site she sent (busy with the music business mentioned below). Anyway, it's called ebates.com. Once you register, you can shop at over 800 on-line stores which offer not only things like free shipping and coupons, but rebates in the form of CASH.

There are all kinds of stores - Children's Place, Staples, Target, Wal-Mart, Dell, Amazon - a bit of everything. Every time you shop, they give you a coupon code to get your additional discount. I always wished I had a coupon code to stick in that little box when I was placing an on-line order and now I will. ebates keeps track of your cash back and either sends you a check or deposits your savings into your Paypal account every three months -- whichever you choose. OR they will donate your savings to a charity of your choice.

This program has the BBB stamp of approval and was recently recommended by CNN Money as a great way to save money doing your holiday shopping or any other time. You can check out that article here.

You can also read a bit about how this program works here. Now that I've told you about this great program - which you may have already known about and if you did, why didn't you tell me - you should go check it out.

After you do that --- if you join, please put me down as the person who referred you (just like I did for Lindsey). You can just enter my email address huddleston@insightbbb.com in the handy dandy little box that says "Did a friend refer you?" That would be me :) When you do that, you will get $5.00 deposited in your account and so will I. Sorta a win-win situation, know what I mean?.

Then before you shop next time, check out this site. I've already found several rebates I will use and only made it to the D's.

PS - Lindsey's March of Dime team is still raising money for their March of Dimes walk in May. They have raised over $2,000 so far! My kids have been saving and so far we have $49.07 to send along for the march.
