A different view of the para

I was going to put the word "parade" in the title, but it was so short this year, it really couldn't be considered one.

It was obvious I was not the only mom who thought it was too cold for kids to be out walking down the street. The basketball league that the kids were going to walk with only had 8 people show up from the entire league.

The parade normally takes around 90 minutes - today it was 26 minutes from the first fire truck to the candy cane striped horse. The kids watched the parade from Andi's house and were quite bummed to not be allowed outside to pick up candy that was thrown. What they didn't realize is that I had 3 huge bags of candy that I bought for them to throw -- so there was plenty of candy waiting on them when we got home.
