Summing up - Sherie & the shop

To answer Marci, -- Yep, Sherie is a good friend of mine. It's kinda strange in a way. I knew her from church and then Andi started hanging out with her and I thought that was a bit weird, since Sherie is only a couple of years younger than me. Next thing I know, Andi is calling her, "Momma Sherie" when she's talking about her -- and telling her how much I would like her because she was so much like me.

So I thought, what the heck, I'll give it a whirl and I started talking to Sherie more. Writing this post has brought a lot of laughter this evening as Andi, Big Guy and I try to sum Sherie up. "Reserved" was the first word we came up with but then we threw that one out because she is only seemingly reserved. So we decided to modify that with "Seemingly reserved upon first glance." Then we started stumbling around for how to describe her and laughing at our descriptive words. We even looked up words in a thesaurus for the word reserved.

Shy - nope. Timid - nope. Withdrawn - nope. Remote - nope. Aloof- nope. Unapproachable - nope. So although she seems reserved, she is most certainly not.

She is hysterically funny with a wonderful dry sense of humor. She has a great imagination and she loves to have fun. She is analytical and a great mom. She is trustworthy and loyal - she'd make a great Scout. She does not wear her emotions on her sleeve, but she definitely has them. She loves adventures and is just a tidge crazy. She is very smart and not afraid to teach herself how to do new things. And she love God. All the things we like in a friend.

She has a degree in education and actually likes things like accounting, however, she has now discovered her life's passion is photography. She makes beautiful pictures and is opening a shop to sell those as well as do framing and photography for others.

You can see and order her prints here. Check out the gallery photos she has online. Make sure to check out "A Cloud of Witnesses". It's the first one seen through the church window. See the faces in the clouds? Very cool. Her pictures are framed beautifully and many of them have scriptures in the mat. You can see a picture she made for me here.

I have no doubt her shop will be a great success and a wonderful addition to our town square. I'll post pictures of the shop next week.
