New Phone Day

Ever since I watched in slow motion as my phone bounced into a tub of water, it hasn't worked quite right. Bill found out Monday that if you drop a phone on concrete and break off the antenna, it doesn't work at all. Not even a little bit.

Since we were eligible for new free phones, we decided now was the time. Since his contract had run out I suggested that we just get one phone for me and we could buy him one at Wal Mart that you pay as you go for.

I thought this to be a brilliant plan since our phone minutes for the last three months have been:

Perri - 389 minutes Bill 9 minutes
Perri - 557 minutes Bill 3 minutes
Perri - 485 minutes Bill 16 minutes

Obviously, not only do I blog a lot, I blab a lot when I'm driving. Bill, however, acted quite offended at this suggestion. Truth be told though, not only does he not ever use his phone, he hardly ever bothers to turn it on. If I specifically tell him to turn it on, he's pretty good about it, but if I just happen to call him, all I ever get is "Message one. The wireless customer you are trying to reach is not available at this time."

That voice irritates me to no end. The voice I want to hear says, "Hello (in a sing songy voice because he KNOWS I'm the only one who ever calls him) and then before I say anything he asks, "What do you need for me to bring home?"

Now THAT is the voice I want to hear. And now I'll be able to since I have my new phone. And I'll be able to take pictures. And check my email. And blog from afar if I choose. ** Note to Larry - do not in any way assume that I want to blog on vacation from my phone rather than your laptop.** Nor do I really expect to use these features - well, maybe the camera.

I had to choose between hot pink and black. I hate black but I'm really not a hot pink kind of gal. I didn't want to get our phones mixed up though and Bill is secure in his manhood. I think Bill he is going to love hot pink. I'll let you know.
