Question: What happens when
you forget you have stitches in your head and you try to comb your hair?
Answer: You remember - quickly.
Today I boiled my "suture removal kit" and soaked it in alcohol. Tomorrow, one of the nurses that goes to church with me is going to be so kind as to remove them for me if she thinks they are ready to come out. I know I am ready for them to come out! This will save me an hour's driving Monday to the doctor Monday with five kids, so I am very grateful for that.
I will also be very grateful to be able to comb my hair, sleep comfortably, lay my head on my recliner, look up, down or sideways without pain. It will also be GREAT to be able to get hugs from the kids, who have had to be so careful all week when the wrap their arms around my neck. I prefer those all out hugs that I'm used to getting to the gentle old woman hugs they've been doling out this so carefully this week.
