Update from the Bolline Family
"Jesus said, Let the little children come unto me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28
We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and prayers that we have felt today. You have blessed us and our children richly and we thank God for using you in our lives to comfort us. Knowing that He is listening to your prayers and the prayers of countless others that we'll never know, is moving in a way that I'm unable to describe to you.
First the good news, they went ahead and did Adam's brain scan today as well and he had some minimal bleeding in both sides but the doctors assured us this was normal and feel encouraged that this will likely heal in full. Praise the Lord! He also had his first meal tonight of formula. He spit some up and had a little left in his tummy so they will keep an eye on him for any signs of bowel infection but overall they were pleased with how he did and he continues to be doing well overall. We just pray that the next scans will show that his small bleeds have been healed and nothing further turns up and his bowels function at 100%.
Andrew's second spinal tap did not seem to indicate that he has an infection, Thank you Jesus. However there was blood in the fluid again. We did not get the news that we were hoping for from the brain scan. He has a minimal bleed on his left side but he has a severe Grade IV bleed on his right side. What does this mean for him at this point? Honestly, nobody knows except the Lord. They will repeat both their scans weekly and we pray for a miracle, that the bleeds will vanish or at least shrink significantly and no new bleeds will turn up. We know the Lord can do this if it is His will. We also pray that he would not develop hydrocephalus (fluid build up in the brain) or other complications.
We take both these boys before the Lord every moment that we can and we will continue to do so. We love them both dearly, irregardless of what struggles they might face. We have very high hopes for Andrew's recovery because we know how big our God is. We know that he may face severe lifelong challenges or he may walk with a limp or he may be totally fine. Only time will tell and we pray for a full recovery. The Lord will use him to do great things no matter what.
