Today marks the anniversary

of one of THE absolute best phone calls of my life. Four years ago today I answered the phone to hear a court official give me the best Christmas gift of my life -- the news that Wesley's mother had agreed to voluntarily surrender her parental rights and we would be able to adopt him.

I remember it in such detail, the feelings that washed over me and overwhelmed me. I was barely able to be understood through my tears as I called everyone to spread this Christmas news. A new son was coming to our home. He was going to be ours forever.

Another son came at this time of year - this one many years ago. His father sent his only son to save our world and give us eternal life if we choose to believe in Him. I pray that you do.
