in a town far away from here a baby was born - weighing in at over 10 pounds - more than Sophie weighs at 7 weeks old. That is amazing to me. It is also amazing to me that somehow this baby ended up as my daughter.

We celebrated Carly's birthday after church Sunday. She was the first to use the new celebration plate we bought recently. Carly got a few gifts after her cake and ice cream, but she still has to go pick out her new bike.

Why is it that at right around age 8 kids develop this perfectly un-natural smile? Every one of my kids have done it and she is right on track with them.
