Merry Christmas Eve

We have had a peaceful day around the house. The kids and I were at church this morning at 8:00 to help prepare bags for the county jail inmates. The bags had Bibles, candy and fruit in them, along with bags of home-made cookies. After church tomorrow, Bill will take the kids and go along with other church members to the jail to deliver these bags to the men and women there.

Once we got home, we did a few chores and then we began baking and cooking. Lots of yummy stuff to be found around the kitchen. Once we finally got all the mess cleaned up, we got snuggled into the couch to watch The Christmas Story. Not sure how we will spend the evening but an early bedtime is certainly at the top of my list.
