I'm usually not a procrastinator.......but
Andrea, my oldest daughter - one of the greatest joys of my life, is graduating from college Saturday morning. Tomorrow is her last day of classes. She is graduating as the Top Student in her class. Saturday - right after graduation, we are having a graduation party and expecting -- oh maybe 200 people or so to show up. Between now and Saturday morning at 9 am when we leave for graduation, there are a few things I need to do.
* High on the priority list for some people might be shop for food and drinks for 200 people. You might think I would have some of this done, but NO. I do not. Nothing. Not a crumb. I have given it some thought though and arranged for ice to be delivered. Does that count? Will that be enough in case I don't get around to the rest of it?
*Buy a gift for the graduate. Is PEZ an appropriate graduation gift? Sure, money is nice, but come on - how many people give the gift of PEZ? Because so far, that is all I have found to buy her. PEZ - which she loves, now comes in Cola flavor, so I bought her some PEZ today. I'm thinking an event of this magnitude might require more than PEZ. She already bought the cereal with the cool light saber spoon in it, so I will have to keep looking. Andi is a tad eccentric (not sure where she gets that from). She like "funny animal art." Things that make her laugh. She and Jacob bought a picture from the museum last year of a monkey - entitled "Nacho smells his finger." I'm just going to let you use your imagination on that one. Her wallpaper border is singing chili peppers wearing cowboy hats. I just let you know these things so you can see where just going to Wal-mart to shop might not work for this child.
So I have to wake in the morning and get with it. Lots to do & so little time. Which means I should probably go to bed instead of sitting up till midnight reading blogs.
