Andi's graduation gift
Andi's graduation gift
I went to St. Meinrad, Indiana today to Abbey Press in order to find an unusual gift for Andi for graduation. Here it is. It is hard to tell but the heart sticks out from the cross and the whole thing is about 18" tall. I thought she would like it because of the "graphic art" aspect of it. And I think I was right. She is very pragmatic. She didn't even want me to wrap it - just give it to her. She gets that from me. We are bad about waiting for gifts.
Andi called me today as I was standing in front of the deli counter ordering meat. She was bawling like a baby and I couldn't make out what she was saying. I finally figured it out. She was crying out of sheer happiness at being done. Then she starts in with all this mushy thanking me for supporting her and loving her and then I am standing at the deli bawling like a baby. She gets that from me too. Hallmark commercials make us cry. Seeing someone across the room crying - a total stranger - doesn't matter. We cry too. Saps.
So she is done. And now that she will have that degree in hand, she is even more qualified to work at the same job she has had for the last three years. Way to go Andrea. Momma loves you.
