Wise beyond her years

Sophie is a 65 year old businesswoman in a teenage body. Case in point:

Sophie and Keegan are spending the night with me. It is Red Ribbon week at their school and tomorrow is neon day, with the slogan “Too bright for drugs.”

I took them by their house to pick up some clothes. Sophie comes out with neon gloves that Andi gave her a couple of years ago, neon socks and hair tie from Peyton, a neon bracelet I had given her, neon polish in 3 colors, and a bow from Paige.

I said, “Man, you really did some rummaging.”

Her reply, “I was disappointed in the hair bow selection, however, I just used my available resources and I’m satisfied with the results.”
