Ben's going back to school!

Benjamin graduated from Hopebridge today. It was the sweetest ceremony I’ve ever seen as about 6 of his therapists stood up and talked about his progress and encouraging him to continue to do great when he returns to public school full time next week.
Other little kids got up and said their sweet goodbyes. They presented him with letters from the other students, pictures they had made of their handprints and a jar of good thoughts to read when he’s having a rough day.
There was cake and bubbles and many, many tears. Tears from his parents, his grandparents, his therapists and his sweet friend, who could barely talk when he was telling Ben how he would never forget him.

I am in awe of how much Ben has grown and changed since he began at Hopebridge. It is an amazing place filled with workers who really love the kids. There is one worker per child and Ben has really benefitted from being a student there.
I don’t really remember much of any high school graduation I’ve ever attended, but I will never forget this sweet ceremony.
