In the weird medical news department
Of which my family seems to contribute to frequently, I find myself in the hospital. Not just your ordinary hospital visit, but one where I am suspected of having TB. And renal failure. There's no suspecting that part, it's real. I've been in the ICU several days being poked and prodded and poked and poked and poked. My kidney function is better today. Yay! I had a test yesterday where I breathed in radioactive material for six minutes. That was kind of freaky.
The CT scan a few nights ago showed I had several spots bleeding in my lungs and my lungs look like fractured glass at those spots. They say this is indicative of tuberculosis. Call out the troops, because at that point you're stuck into a isolated air controlled room and everyone you see is covered with a mask.
Hopefully, they will figure out what's going on and I will be home soon. This is not how I intended to spend my spring vacation. Vicki Alvey and Andi took me to the hospital and stayed with me all night. I was supposed to go to Nashville with Gwen, Kelli, Teri and Cathy. Kelli made us some awesome shirts to wear and I was able to convince them to go ahead and go. Vicki would not and she stayed with me. The girls texted pictures all day and all night and all the fun they were having and I'm glad they went on. They had a song dedicated insane to me at the Big Bang piano bar and it was a hoot. I'll never forget it.
Since I started this post early this morning, I had a bronchial scope be done. I do not have tuberculosis. The doctors will not be looking towards autoimmune diseases.
