Vacay at Mamawland - Day 3
Started off our day at church this morning. Not sure if this was a hug or the beginning of a strangulation. This evening we went to the Evansville Otters baseball game where everyone consumed junk food galore, but just in case there wasn't enough sugar in the kettle corn, cotton candy, tootsie rolls and other assorted treats, Mark bought the kids ice cream cones. If Pappaw had been there, he would have done the same thing.

After the ballgame, we took the kids down to the riverfront for the fire show. There is a group of performers who put on a free show every Sunday night. Sophie and Keegan got up close with one of the pets of a security guard. Although this picture was fuzzy, I wasn't going to have her re-do it (but she would have loved to).
They LOVED the fire show and were both mesmerized by all the performers....
although Keegan made sure he was behind the granite stone and just peeking out over the top.
We did get a message from Big Guy today and I read it to them in the car on the way to the ballgame. When I looked in the mirror about a minute later, Sophie was wiping tears from her eyes. As much as she likes to be on the go, I think knowing she CAN'T see her mom and dad is a bit much for her to take in. Tomorrow she starts summer school and they are going to Granna's house overnight to visit her and Jasper. That will be a nice break for them. Then it will be back to finish out our week of fun stuff.
