It's a Funday Monday at Mamawland

Today is Sophie's 5th birthday - hard to believe, but it's here. She spent the night last night so this morning we started off the day with breakfast at McDonald's before school. Then I walked her to her class (without crying - either of us) and we dropped off her cupcakes that she was taking to all her classmates. Just in case there was anyone who didn't know it was her birthday, she wore the crown she got last night at Chuck E. Cheese. Nothing like a visual to help in figuring out who is the birthday girl as they go down the school hallway. After we dropped her off, Jacob and I took Keegan to Holiday World. Jacob got to go because Keegan needed someone to ride with him and Jacob has a season pass. I had told Keegan I would take him when Sophie started school and he has been remembering it every night in his prayers...."Dear God, thank you for Mamaw taking me to Holdiay World without Sophie."

As much as he might have thought he wanted to be there by himself, it was easy to see how his mind worked. Anytime he got on a ride and there was a seat available by a little girl about Sophie's age, he would climb into that seat. Quite a few little girls were surprised today to see a little blonde boy who was determined to sit by them.

After Sophie gets out of school, we are finishing up our day by going to see Kung Fu Panda, 2.

Happy birthday, Sos . And K-Man, I had a blast with you at Holiday World! We are going to have lots of adventures over the next 2 years till you have to go to the little school down the street, too. Mamaw loves you and LOVES being your Mamaw
