Diagnosis for Andi

Andi went to Indy this week and had the diagnosis of viral encephalitis confirmed by the doctor there. It is the best we could hope for. It shows up after a virus and last about a year. Her initial flare up should be the worse it is and she will continue to have minor flareups while her body recovers. Stress makes it worse and a few days this week she had trouble speaking for a few hours. She will probably have to take the medication for her entire life and may have some residual memory problems.

We were very excited to have something to go with and look forward to her feeling great again as a matter of routine.
