Fourth of July

Our family enjoyed an evening at Mike and Sherie's where there was a meat extravaganza, along with a lot of spectauclar fireworks, fishing (which is where Ryan was) and home made ice cream. The afternoon was spent watching fierce games of "non-competitive" people try to become the world's champion at Hillbilly Golf -- or whatever it is that you call it. I watched from the comfy lawn chair, sitting under the tree and letting the breeze blow past on what has to be the coolest 4th of July weather in memory. And this is an awesome picture of a cat that Sophie colored while we were driving to Cincinnati last week. I thought it was great for a 3 year old, but really good considering we were bouncing along in a truck.
