The Culprit

Yesterday, I was measuring Sophie to see how tall she was. It is springtime and Billski wants to buy Sophie her first 2 wheel bike. He says it what he does --buy everyone their first bike. We are planning on going bike shopping this weekend once he gets home.

He's left at 2 am yesterday to go to Bass Pro Shop in Springfield, MO, to get a new boat motor put on his boat. There are Bass Pro Shops closer to us than that, but not that sell motors. Thus, the 800 mile trip for a boat motor. He should be home this afternoon and we are going out before I watch ballgames this evening. I think he's lost interest in the NCAA tourney since Kentucky got beat.

Anyway, last night, as I was walking down the hallway to bed, I couldn't help but notice huge strips of wallpaper missing from my wallpaper border. Really. It's hard not to notice. Ray Charles could notice.

This morning, I called the babies into the hallway and asked them if they knew what happened there. Immediately, Sophie piped up, "I did it. I ripped it off for you." Then she grabbed a piece of her handiwork and asked the question "Is it bigger and taller than me?"When I asked her why she had torn it off, her answer was, "Because there were little bumps off." Little bumps off means that there were slight tears along the bottom -- where previously kids had torn off little pieces. If you're looking for "bumpy" wallpaper border, this is the place to come. Big Bumps, Little Bumps -- I've got it all.

Knowing how much her Baba loves her, I'd say she still has a new bike in her future....as well as a career as a wallpaper stripper.
