Spring Break

This week is spring break for the local public schools, so this means that Andi, Sherie and Vicki are free to run around a bit. Today, Sherie, Andi and I took a road trip to Ky. Lake in Sherie's new Jeep. There was the obligatory ride with the top off, where it was determined afterward that it might be easier to just get a hair cut rather than try to comb through the tangles. I think it is quite clear in the pictures which one was made before the wind blowing through our hair.

But it was glorious weather, the sun was shining, the temperature was around 70 and it was a wonderful day. We left and started off with our main destination in mind - Patti's restaurant at Ky. Lake. After stuffing ourselves with all manner of appetizers, lunch and desserts, we wandered around there for a bit before heading off to Metropolis, IL. Metropolis is the home of Superman, just in case you have forgotten.

We also visited Fort Massac and just lounged around outside under the trees discussing such literary classics as Go Dog Go and Hop on Pop. We're deep that way. After spending a bit more time and money around Metropolis, we headed for home. We had a whole lot of laughing and fun crowded into one day.
