Why is it

if I send the kids out to pick up sticks before the yard is mowed there aren't more than 2 that can be found despite a thorough search? And yet, when they wanted to make stick prisons they were able to find enough to make not one, not two, not three, but yes, FOUR of these lovely structures in our yard. I think the trashed baseboards from Carly's room add a lovely touch and I'm sure our neighbor with the perfectly manicured lawn would agree.
