Carly's room

Carly will be moving into her new room today. With the exception of the multiple layers of wallpaper border that had to be stripped off -- six, to be exact -- everything went pretty quickly. There was only one other snafu and it wasn't my fault.

When Sherie - God bless her - was assembling the huge four foot wide cabinet, it became apparent that there was a bag of hardware missing. This meant a trip to Evansville to Lowe's to get replacement parts. Since it was getting dark and the roads were going to be freezing, we decided to put that off till morning. And, if you're going to be going out in the morning, you might as well pair that up with breakfast at Black Buggy. So that's our plan -- and it's a good one, if I do say so myself.

Hopefully we will get it all finished up today, but Carly's Little House on the Prairie book club is tonight. They are supposed to be teaching the girls how to crochet. That should be an interesting evening - teaching 30 giggly girls how to crochet.
