I picked up a little something tonight in Evansville.
Ryan is so happy to be home and everyone is so happy to have him here. We have had one incident when he couldn't get the computer to work that would have caused him to blow up before his new medication. Instead, he said, "Oh well, I'll just shut it off and let Jacob fix it tomorrow." Kinda freaky. But in a very good way.
I have heard more nice conversation in a pleasant tone of voice from him in the past two hours than in the previous month before his hospitalization.
I was again astounded by the mail today. Cards and letters from all over the country, cool 3D stickers and glasses, a whole series of postcards from Canada and even a DVD of Night at the Museum 2 --- which he is watching right now with the kids and Sophie. At least he's watching it in-between shouts of, "I'm home!"
Ryan is amazed that so many people would take the time to write to him. And to pray for him. That is an overwhelming theme of the handwritten notes - "We are praying for you." And I continue to thank God for everyone who has taken the time to brighten this special little boy's life. You are all amazing.
