The Weekend
is a blur of good times, lots of laughter, too much food, not enough sleep and many memories. Friday afternoon we began a "get away without leaving town" slumber party. We ordered in pizzas, laid out the snacks and proceeded to forget we have 25 kids and just had a blast. Ok, we didn't forget the nursing baby who hung out with us, but the other 24 were checked on occasionally, discussed minimally and thought about every time a phone rang.
We played games, talked and laughed until the wee hours of the morning. Then we fell into beds for a few hours of sleep and got up Saturday morning to do it all again (well, not the pizza). After a day of fun, games and Wii bowling, we went out that evening for a progressive dinner at different restaurants, followed by.....wait for it..................more games and laughing.
When I got home late Saturday night (early Sunday morning), my sides were sore from laughing so hard and I was ready for Sunday's activities.
Which brings us to Sunday....see next post.
