Little House Book Club

Carly and I trekked over to the west side of Evansville last night for her book club. As soon as we walked in the door, she and another girl started hugging and screaming and jumping up and down. After a bit of this, I was introduced to 11 year old Katie -- who lives in Boonville and just started homeschooling this year. She's also on Carly's basketball team. I can tell Katie is going to be hanging out at our house a lot. Starting today. She should be here shortly.

The 28 girls had a blast last night. They made candles, punched out tin can lanterns and made file folders for all their important papers. They played some games from pioneer days and had a cook out over an open fire. Here's a picture of Carly's candle.

The plate is a leftover I found in the cabinet the other day. It's from Andi's wedding shower. She was as funky then as she is now. Some things will never change.
