Catching Up

I don't think I've gone so long without blogging so I suppose either a lot has been going on or not much at all. Looking back at the week, I'm gonna have to go with a bit of both. I've been on a cooking binge - which is better than an eating binge -- and have gotten lots of meals in the freezer.

Last Thursday we had friends over for dinner and games. We played the ultimate party game, Times Up and had a blast laughing our fool heads off. Saturday, Jacob went to King's Island with the youth group of the church he has been attending on Wednesday nights.

Saturday night we went out to Mike and Sherie's and had yet another enjoyable evening sitting around the fire pit, talking, laughing and telling stories of things past.

Sunday, of course, brought another new church to try out. I will be glad when God finally leads us to the church we are supposed to attend, but we all know we did the right thing leaving our old church, so we continue to be open to what God has in store for us.

Sunday afternoon, Bill took Jacob to a rock and mineral show. I took Ryan fishing and watched him for three hours as he changed his bait, hooks, sinkers and bobbers multiple times and answered so many questions I thought I would lose my mind. Not that it would take much.

Carly, Wesley and Ryan have been going to the local elementary school on Monday afternoons for The Good News Club - a Christian based club sponsored by a local church. That brings me up to today, school and then Bible study tonight at the house. Bible study has been going well and I love the book we are doing on the fruits of the spirit.

Sophie and Keegan continue to brighten our days when the come over while Andi works. Keegan is talking more every day and they are both little charmers. Sophie has Billski wrapped around her finger, but Keegan has a very special place in his heart for his "Baba." When Bill goes to work, Keegan stands at the window and just yells repeatedly, "Bye Baba. See you. Love you." until Bill is in the car and has driven out of sight.

Everyone is reasonably healthy with just some minor colds in the midst of major flu outbreaks in the area. And that brings us up to date. Nothing too exciting but that's OK with me.
