And in other exciting news on the same date
3 years ago today, Sophie Grace was born. This was the first picture we saw of her. Although back then, we didn't know it was a her and we just called the baby, Bophie, a combination of Benjamin and Sophie. Now, we definitely know she is a girl. She has female hormones for sure.
Sophie can be dramatic and she can be indignant. Especially when someone tells her, "No." She always feels the need to tell me that. The other day she insisted on calling Ms. Heidi over and over. She just HAD to talk to her. So I finally got Heidi on the phone, only to hear Sophie tell her, "Ms. Heidi, Keegan is being mean to me. You tell him to stop it right now."
She is a charmer. One look into those big brown eyes and that sly little smile will just about do a normal person in. Luckily, I'm not normal and I'm very firm with her. (insert wild laughter here).
She called last night about 9 and wanted to come spend the night -- and she did. She slept in her bed, but at about 5 this morning I felt a big pounce on my bed, which I thought was Atticus. Nope, as I rolled over, there were those big eyes. With a big grin she said, "The birthday girl wants to sleep with you now." She quickly snuggled into my arms and went back to sleep.
She's my little buddy. As she says, "I'm your little girl and you're my Mamaw." Indeed. How much more blessed can one person be?
