Guess who came home a day early?

The kids got home late last night and

I was there to pick up the babies first thing this morning for sausage and pancakes. I think I got the biggest hug of my life from Sophie when she saw me this morning. She came running at me so hard she almost knocked me over. She was just about to get into the tub, but all thoughts of cleanliness left her head and she immediately wanted to go to Mamawland.

So we did. They are here to hang out and play all day, while Andi and Big Guy have a grown up date. They are also going to spend the night because we are seriously behind in our spoiling.

We made our caramel corn and delivered it. I got the costume closet completed and painted, but it needs work. It is pink. Cotton candy pink. TOO PINK. Much pinker than the pretty paint sample I chose. So I am going to have to tone it down someway before I let it out of the garage.

I received a beautiful card in the mail today from my friend, Marla. A Thinking of You on Father's Day card. It is beautiful. I've read it about 4 times and cried about 6 times. 4 when reading it, 1 from thinking how sweet it was of her to take the time to send it and now, just writing about it. Thank you, Marla. I appreciate knowing you are praying for me.

It's the weirdest things that make this whole thing hard. Today, I was going to make potato salad. I don't make it often, but my dad loved my potato salad. I had the stuff ready to do it, and then just couldn't. It just didn't seem right to have it without him being here. I'm sure I will make it again - just not right yet. See what I mean - it's weird.

Donations are still coming in for the Diabetes Walk. I passed the $500.00 goal this morning, so I bumped it up to $600.00. Remember, just click on dad's picture and it will take you right to my page to donate. Next Saturday, Team Gumby is going to be at the East Side Wal-Mart having a cookout and bake sale to raise money for the Diabetes Foundation. If you are out and about, stop on by.

I placed the order last night for all of the Bible study material for the second study. We are starting the class with 18 ladies. I'm very excited about the life changes that I know will be happening.

Keegan and Sophie are standing by me having a light saber fight and it is hard to concentrate, so I guess I'll end this post and go get out of the way!
